Let the Numbers Speak

Our data reflects our commitment to excellence.

14M+ Days

SeVA will aid in reducing the number of patient hospital stays from 14 to 35 million patient days

$30B+

SeVA could save between $32 billion and $80 billion in healthcare costs, benefiting both healthcare systems and payers like Medicare by reducing and preventing hospitalizations.

Our Story

In the U.S., around 6 million people suffer from Alzheimer’s dementia, a number expected to rise in the future. Alzheimer’s is the leading cause of death and the only top cause that can’t be prevented. In hospitalized patients, Alzheimer’s dementia is often complicated by delirium, which is frequently overlooked by healthcare teams.

Innovation

SeVA optimizes nursing workload by reducing the need for frequent cyclical checks. In acute care settings, nurses perform regular tasks like checking on patients for toileting or delirium detection, often leading to unsupervised care and potential adverse events. SeVA can automate these checks, such as asking patients about bathroom needs, and use AEI technology to relay patient responses to nursing staff, improving workflow and reducing nurse intervention. Future updates will enable SeVA to document these interactions in the EHR, further saving time and ensuring accurate records.

Cost Savings

In 2017, 50 million people worldwide suffered from Alzheimer’s dementia, with a new case emerging every 3 seconds. This growing population, along with the increasing prevalence of delirium in hospitalized patients, presents a significant financial challenge. SeVA can address both Alzheimer’s dementia and delirium prevention, with the potential to impact 7 million hospitalized patients annually in the U.S.

Optimization

HELP has demonstrated significant cost savings related to delirium in hospitalized patients. For patients over 65, nursing time optimization remains a challenge, as each nurse cares for 4-5 patients per shift, and hourly checks can take 20-25 minutes. SeVA reduces nursing workload by automating these routine tasks, saving valuable time for more critical care, and improving patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction.
